Award for Trust's engagement group
Fry Housing Trust is congratulating its clients and staff after the Fry Voices Together (FVT) group scooped ‘Residents’ Group of the Year’ at the Accord Group’s inaugural Great Residents Awards.
FVT beat off competition from the six other organisations within the Accord Group to receive the accolade for their work in engaging with local communities.
Kimberley Evans, Resident Engagement Manager at Fry Housing Trust, said: “This group of clients has come on leaps and bounds. They have developed as a group and now look forward to meetings and their activities.
“The help and encouragement they have from staff has developed individual members’ involvement in the community, given them a purpose to move on with their lives and taught them that their opinion does count. They now realise that other people are interested in them and they think more about what is going on around them.”
Members of FVT also regularly attend meetings with the wider Accord Group Resident Engagement team.
